Learn how to carve jewellers wax using files, carving tools and simple calculations to create a ring design like no other. Once the class is over, the waxes will be sent off to be cast in brass or silver (including recycled silver) using the lost wax casting process (silver is an additional cost of £10-£25 depending on ring size). Amber will then finish the ring in her workshop and post them back to the hands that carved them!
Wax carving is not just a fun way to create jewellery, it is also extremely forgiving. Due to jeweller’s wax, being a cheaper and softer material, it means if things go wrong, we can simply supply you with more wax. This makes it the perfect class for both beginners and fellow jewellers wishing…
