In this 3-hour wax carving workshop 10am - 1pm , you will learn how to create your very own wax-carved signet ring. Led by Amber in the vibrant workshop space inside ARC Space, you will be guided through the process, ensuring you leave with a unique piece to wear proudly.

Don't worry if you're a beginner - this workshop is designed for all levels, and you'll be amazed at what you can achieve with a little guidance. Expect a hands-on experience working with wax and tools, all within a supportive and inspiring environment.Throughout the session, you'll immerse yourself in the creative process, feeling confident and empowered as you see your design take shape. By the end, you'll not only have a beautiful piece of jewellery to take home but also a newfound appreciation for the art of wax carving. Getting your ring back:
 
At the end of the session, you will leave your wax carved rings with me ready to get cast into your chosen metal. I'll give the castings a sand and polish before getting them back out to you. The rings can be collected from NOOK the shop within the same building or posted to you via Royal Mail to your chosen address at a small additional cost.
 
This takes a maximum of 4 weeks from the date of the workshop to the date it's posted to you (more time is needed for gold plating)
 
Please note this class will be utilising cold carving techniques without a flame due to the health and safety regulations of this building.
 
What you'll get
A fully tutored session by a skilled professional (that's me).
 
You will be provided with a series of tools such as files, wax reamers and specifically designed carving tools, jeweller's wax and some design inspiration sheets (feel free to use Pinterest to get some ideas ahead of time).
 
A brass cast of your ring is provided within the cost of the workshop (Silver is a little extra explained below).
 
Optional Additional costs on the day:
 
Silver:
Casting into silver will be an additional cost of £2.50 per gram between £15-£35 on average depending on the weight of silver needed.
 
Gold plating:
If you wish to get your piece gold plated this is a further additional cost of £25 depending on the size of your piece. You can choose to plate onto brass or silver but the wait time is much longer
 
Optional Postage:
If you would like your ring posted back to you as opposed to collected you can pay for your chosen postage on the day.
 
Additional creations
Any additional rings created will cost an extra £15 casting charge plus any additional silver fees etc. This is because the casting charge for the first ring is included into the initial workshop cost. However it is un-likley to have time for additional rings during this particular class.
